Meet our Staff
Meet Thomasville Middle School Specialist, Shanika Gray. This is Shanika's first year working with Communities In Schools of Thomasville. She completed her BA in Communications / Political Science (minor) from Howard University, Nonprofit Certification from Duke University and is a Certified Grant Writer from Forsyth Technical Community College.
Ms. Gray joined CIS with a passion to help students and families by connecting them to the resources they need for a better life, while assisting them with becoming self-sufficient, and stable to ensure success academically, financially, and personally for the entire family. She loves helping people and connecting them to the resources for improving the quality of their lives. She is already making a huge impact in our student's lives by connecting our students to the resources for all her families to have food and gifts for the holidays. Ms. Gray learned from her Grandmother the value of hard work, education, and the value of respecting everyone, and receiving the same respect in return. This is what CIS is Made of!
