Meet Ashley Collins
Ashley Collins joined CIS on February 15, 2021. She has a Bachelor of Science from UNC-Chapel Hill.
For nineteen years, Ashley worked in the foster care system, working with children of all ages and their families. She has made a huge impact in children’s lives and is ready to start a new journey to continue serving more children and their families in a different capacity. Abused, neglected and dependent children, and the foster families that care for them, will always have a special place in her heart. Ashley’s passion is to work with children to build relationships and make a positive impact in their lives in whatever way she can.
Ashley was raised by her single working mother and in part by her grandmother. Ashley’s grandmother was a steadfast presence in her life and she made a huge impact on her. Ashley’s family instilled in her a strong work ethic, to be grateful for all things we have in life and to sacrifice what you want in order to help others. These lessons her family taught her have made Ashley what she is today - a caring, passionate and dedicated person that is always willing to serve others.
Ashley is an alumna of Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity at UNC-Chapel Hill. In her spare time Ashley loves exploring new places, reading and spending time with friends and family.

I felt no judgement; everyone smiled. I was not uncomfortable. It is set up so nice. We really appreciate it.
