Meet Lewie Phillips our new Graduation Coach at THS. Mr. Phillips will be working with 11th and 12th grade students who are “off track” and at risk of not graduating with their peers. He is a former high school science teacher from Lexington Senior High School, Treasurer for a non-profit organization ‘The Pastor’s Pantry’ (Targeting Senior Adult Hunger) Program Manager from Davidson Vision, Inc. and a past City Councilman in Lexington.
Lewie Phillip’s education includes a BS in Horticultural Science, MA in Agriculture, and an Ed D Adult Education from NC State University. He attributes his Mother and Father to making the biggest impact in his life and teaching him to love learning, in turn leading him on the path of wanting to help others be successful in their life. He is kind, caring, funny person with a deep devotion to helping other people.
Mr. Phillips’ loves working with students and wants to build positive experiences for our future generations. He loves traveling, creating outdoor living spaces, and going on International youth mission trips. He has a published a historical reflection the on the development of the German shepherd dog titled ‘Reflections from the Dog House’.
