Kathy Hinkle

Kathy started working for CIS as our Graduation Coach January 15, 2020. She has 32 years of experience as a Family and Consumer Science teacher, Career Development Coordinator, Instructional Management Coordinator- Lexington City Schools and three years at Davidson County Community College. Prior to joining CIS, she worked with Career and College Promise students at Davidson County Community College. Her education includes: EdS from UNCG, BS from Meredith College, Study Abroad, St. Andrews University of Scotland, and a Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
She loves having one-on-one interactions with students. She enjoys working with them and helping them meet their goals for the future. Her family members are the ones who have encouraged her to do her best.
She is energetic, compassionate and ambitious. She loves to travel to far off places, spend time with her family, and volunteer for different organizations. She also works the International Home Furnishings Market twice a year using her interior design degree skills.
